系列名:“Hyperbolic (Implants Series III)”
本系列侧重于医疗植入物、身体和身体体验。这些手工制作的物品彰显了假肢和手术的高度个性化和定制化,同时也唤起了人们对死亡的记忆和人类形体的脆弱本质。通过与美国骨科医师学会、MedWish国际公司和Cleveland诊所的合作,我获得了灵感,用真实的医疗植入物作为灵感来源,重新发明并夸大了这些装置,用于想象中的身体和手术。其目的是让观赏者思考他们自己的身体,并将作品中所隐含的缺失解剖形象化。
历史上,死亡的纪念品包括黑色的石头,华丽的设计,和来自死者的骨头或头发来纪念他们的生活和提醒自己生命的短暂。我的作品通过纳入医疗植入物更新和扩展这一广阔的身体艺术。即《modern bones》一书中,作者将森之死的历史美学扩展为创新的、双曲线的设计,并在当代更新了这一概念。在将医用植入物转化为艺术品的过程中,我也采用了医学术语来为我的作品命名,同时我也使用了真实的医疗器械来美化和转化这些物品。其结果是,我可以尝试这种历史上的珠宝/金属制品类型,并通过关注身体内部来改变装饰的想法。在重复这一古老的死亡纪念品类型时,我在我的方法中使用了传统的金属技术,同时努力在概念深度、技术精度和审美创新之间取得平衡。
