Erik Blomqvist
Dalarna – Sweden – 1989
I work with jewellery, mostly rings and my preferred material s are steel and silver. I use traditional blacksmithing techniques when I explore the
qualities of the steel, I want to capture the power of the material, I want the wearer to feel it. When I make a ring, I have an idea about a direction or a shape I want to achieve but I let the material show the way.
